Join us Thursday, February 20, at Birds n’ Beer, a free monthly educational happy hour featuring hot topics in conservation, with craft beer from Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. This month’s topic is “Investing in Our Rivers: The Yuma Case Study,” presented by Haley of Audubon Arizona and Lowell Perry Jr. of Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area.
Hear from Policy Manager Haley Paul, who has earned statewide recognition over Audubon’s findings on the economic value of Arizona’s rivers, lakes, and streams. Then see how the numbers work on the ground as Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area’s Executive Director, Lowell Perry Jr., presents the astonishing success of the Yuma Wetlands—and what’s possible when we invest in our rivers.
The event will take place at the Rio Salado Audubon Center at 3131 S. Central Ave., Phoenix 85040. Doors open at 5:30, and the presentation begins at 6:30. All beverages, including the craft beer, will be available for purchase with the proceeds benefiting Audubon Arizona. Light snacks will be complimentary.
