Job Title: Bartender

Primary Objective of Position:
Ensures guests receive an exceptional experience, prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests in accordance with company specifications; practices responsible alcohol service in accordance with state and local laws and company policy; organizes and properly disposes of compost, recycling, and trash while maintaining clean equipment and facilities.
Essential Functions:

- Possesses proficient knowledge of beer, wine, cocktail, and food offerings/preparations to explain to guests.

- Keeps updated on all new, updated, and revised inventories, procedures, and recipes.

- Participates in routine batching, preparation, and quality assurance of draft cocktail recipes in accordance with company specifications.

- Participates in routine draft line, faucet, and coupler cleaning.

- Maintains company’s storage requirements for its beverage inventory.

- Ensures proper rotation and identification of beverage inventory.

- Assists with deliveries and verifies all delivered items match documentation of deliverer and are of the best quality. Must be signed by MOD to validate receipt of delivery.

- Participates in ongoing education of alcohol history, beverages, services, and techniques.

- Ensures that all beer, wine, and cocktails are served according to company standards.

- Serves beer, wine, and cocktails to bar guests following established company procedures to ensure that the financial transactions are correct and reflect all charges.

- Assess guest demeanor and identifies when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager.

- Follows alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age, preventing intoxication, and addressing intoxicated guests.

- Collects payment (credit cards/cash) for all drink order transactions pursuant to company established accounting procedures.

- Maintains and balances cash by ensuring that all financial transactions are correct; operates credit card machines correctly, ensures accurate handling of cash drawer and calculates change due to guests.

- Ensures a clean and well-stocked bar.

- Updates beer, wine, and cocktail menus and signage to reflect any changes and informs manager and team.

- Informs manager of any issues relating to the draft system.

- Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties.

- Secures all monies at the end of each shift.

- Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

- Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.

- Displays a favorable image of company at all times.

- Complies with company uniform and health department requirements to ensure safe food practices.

- Performs calmly and effectively under pressure.

- Communicates clearly with guests and team members to provide exceptional service.
- Performs other duties as required or requested
Qualification Standards:

- Ability to operate POS system, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account for all monies at the end of each shift.

- Walks/stands 100% of shift.

- Works indoors and outdoors.

- Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, carries, and wipes frequently.
-
- Lifts up to 85lbs. as individual, team lift up to 170lbs. several times per shift.
- Ability to clearly verbalize and respond to guest.
