Job Title: Expo/Food Run

Reports to: Department Manager

Salary/Grade Level: Hourly + Tips

Revision Date: January 11, 2019

Primary Objective of Position:

To ensure that guests’ dining experience is exceptional and guests receive food made to company specifications in a timely manner; provide a commitment to professional, expedient, and courteous service; organize and properly dispose of compost, recycling, and trash while maintaining clean equipment and facilities.

Essential Functions:

    • Works collaboratively with management and kitchen to deliver culinary offerings that meet company specifications.
    • Completely stocks and cleans station before and after each shift.
    • Effectively and efficiently manages food tickets in an organized and time sensitive manner.
    • Delivers food as soon as possible to appropriate guest.
    • Communicates guest questions or concerns to Managers as appropriate.
    • Ensures guests are content with food items before departing table.
    • Ensures work area, walk in, restrooms, drink areas, and tables are clean, sanitized, free of clutter, stocked, and in good working order.   
    • Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties.
    • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
    • Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
    • Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
    • Displays a favorable image of company at all times.
    • Complies with company uniform and health department requirements to ensure safe food practices.
    • Performs calmly and effectively under pressure.
    • Communicates clearly with guests and team members to provide exceptional service.
  • Performs other duties as required or requested

Qualification Standards:

    • Ability to read English.
    • Ability to operate a POS and tablet screen.
    • Stands/walks 100% of shift.
    • Works indoors and outdoors.
    • Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, carries, and wipes frequently.
    • Ability to verbalize clearly and respond to Guests.
  • Lifts up to 30 lbs. several times per shift when business needs dictate.
