Job Title: GSR Cashier
Reports to: Department Manager

Primary Objective of Position:
Ensure guests receive an exceptional dining experience; serve guests in a timely and proficient manner; be attentive to guest needs; practice responsible alcohol service in accordance with state and local laws and company policy; organize and properly dispose of compost, recycling, and trash while maintaining clean equipment and facilities.
Essential Functions:

- Works collaboratively with all departments to deliver product to company specifications.

- Possesses proficient knowledge of the menu to explain offerings to guests, inform them of current menu items, and answer any questions.

- Accurately enters food and beverage orders into POS quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate abbreviations and charges.

- Accurately modifies food orders to fit guests’ dietary or allergy needs.

- Provides guests with identification that matches ticket name to ensure accurate food delivery.

- Assesses guest demeanor and identifies when behavior should be communicated to the Manager.

- Follows alcohol awareness procedures for identifying age, preventing intoxication, and dealing with intoxicated guests.

- Collects payment (credit cards, cash) for all food and drink order transactions pursuant to company established accounting procedures.

- Ensures all financial transactions are correct and maintains accuracy and cash/coin for making change. Operates credit card machines correctly. Accurately calculates change due to guests and returns appropriate amount in a timely matter.

- Ensures work area, walk in, restrooms, drink areas, and tables are clean, sanitized, free of clutter, stocked, and in good working order.

- Keeps station clean, maintained, and guest focused.

- Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties.

- Secures all monies at the end of each shift.

- Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

- Displays a favorable image of company at all times.

- Complies with company uniform and health department requirements to ensure safe food practices.

- Performs calmly and effectively under pressure.

- Assists other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate.
- Performs other duties as required or requested.
Qualification Standards:

- Ability to operate POS, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account for all monies at the end of each shift.

- Stands/walks 100% of shift.
-
- Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes frequently.

- Able to deliver plates, food & clear tables which may require lifting as much as 30lbs.

- Ability to read and write English.

- Ability to verbalize and clearly respond to Guests.
- Ability to read and write handwritten notes.
